In terms of film work, Chanje has had a number of commissions. Chanje won the BBC Verb New Voices Award in 2015 and was commissioned to produce a poetry film for the BBC online platform, and a live performance at their Free Thinking Free thinking festival. In 2018 Chanje received a micro-commission from Live Art organisation hAb to produce a performance art film, in response to an online campaign called “I can’t breathe” which speaks of the circumstances faced by many who are being choked by a system that treats different races and classes of people unequally.
Most recently, she was commissioned by the Imperial War Museum (IWM) to create a performance for digital media, as part of an online exhibition, on the theme of Victory, to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. She created a short poetry film which was shared across all IWM media platforms. She was also the 1st person commissioned by Manchester International Festival to produce a new performance for their very first Online Festival In My House.
